I have thick, culry, frizzy hair (you name it). It is medium length. I want to relax or use chemical straightner. The problem is, am afraid if am gonna damage my hair. I don't want to damage my hair. I relaxed my hair when i was young, it look good but i know my hair was damaged. I wish i straight hair. What should i do???
Hair straightener? use a conair hair straightener
Hair straightener? Use Straightening tongs... you can get them from most good chemists (boots usually...if you are UK based...) but always get the hair serum to put on first, or you will ruin your hair... and only straighten twice a week... GHD are good but VERY expensive at about a hunded quid!!! ($200) You can get some equally as good for about forty quid ($80) Just ask the assistant for advice...
Hair straightener? use a ceramic hair straightener...it's not as hard on the hair...I recommend the Chi Hair straightener..it works wonders
Hair straightener? i saw a comnercial for maxiglide my friedn also has it and it really works.
and she had the frizziest hair ive ever seen.
its really really good, you should try it
and i doesnt damage your hair.
check it out
Hair straightener? buy a flat iron
there is special stuff you put in your hair first so you don't damage it
Hair straightener? I have the same kind of hair. I usually have someone someone use a round brush and a hair dryer to get it decentley straight and then I straighten it with a straight iron. It's not as bad for and it doesn't last as long, but for me it works really well.
Hair straightener? I've got some GHD hair straightners, and they're amazing. I too have curly frizzy hair, and they are a complete godsend. I also relaxed my hair. both are pretty costly, but are worth it if you want sleek managable hair! Just make sure you deep condition and use heat protection spray! Hope that helps.
Hair straightener? My hair is the same way. Just go to "WALMART" and buy a strantener. Then make sure your setting on your stratener is set to medium hair and staiten away!
Hair straightener? get a (ceramic) hair straightner. its less damaging.and apply a hair smoothing/protecter before you straighten it.
Hair straightener? dont worry,my big sister had an afrow and my mom used a hot comb on her hair for about 30 mins /maybr longer and guess what.............? my sisters hair never was curly again!!
i wish i was that lucky!!
Hair straightener? Mostly anything you do to beutify your hair will damage it. It's the price we pay for beauty. Get a perm solution and it will straighten the hair. Deep condition it and then get some Biosilk and use a hair straightener.
Hair straightener? My niece has the same hair that you do. She uses a perm to straighten her hair.
Instead of putting it into those perm rollers, she just keeps combing it straight then puts the rinse on it. It turns out good. She also uses shampoo for permed hair and a conditioner.
Hair straightener? If I were you I'd find a stylist who could give you good, personalized advice, before doing anything you might regret. That said (and although I'm not a hairdresser), if you do decide to straighten your hair, I'd go with using a flattening iron in combination with a relaxing serum. I use Pureology Superstraight Relaxing Serum ... apply it to damp hair, comb, and iron. It protects the hair and works really well. Smells good, too. :)
Hair straightener? I used a Japanese hair straightening perm called Magic Perm. Of course, any method of straightening/perming your hair will damage it (heck, blow-drying you hair damages it), but I'd say that using the Magic Perm will probably cause the least amount of damage. It's probably better than using a hair straightener every morning and frying your hair.
If you want to know exactly what the Magic Perm does, they basically 'paint' a chemical into your hair and it takes from 1-2 and a half hours on average. The amount of time it lasts varies depending on your hair type, but I have naturally curly hair and mine has lasted about 8 months. Hope everything works out for you!
Hair straightener? I have the same problem. trust me! first things first, get an iron striaghtener. it will only dry out your hair if you dont moisturize it. if you keep doing it everyday it will get wrecked and really dry. if you dont like that solution try taking a shower at night and putting it in a pony tail before you go to bed and you will wake up with semi-straight hair. or were a pony tail all day and it will form into a pretty straight form. hope that helps.
Hair straightener? lols hey, we have the same problem! there are uses with curly hair and it aint all that bad...but it would help if u got your hair cut and thinned...then use hair straightner instead of chemicals...and if u want ur frizz to stay down...use Johnson's Kids, Hair detangler, it's pretty good...and so it would stay down for at least a while and un tangle your hair...hope i could help out :) have a nice day and remember, what you do, look like...you're beautiful in your own way and it's true!
Hair straightener? straighten your hair with a flat iron it looks great and it doesnt damage your hair as much as relaxing it but in case your hair is really sensative hair get that shampoo that restores your hair health
Hair straightener? theres no other thing to do my hair is like your yours but not so badd like that .. but uhmm..i still straighten out my hair every time
plus it will only get damaged on the tips then go get to the hair cut to cut your hair itll get damaged probably on the tip in like 1 year idk it dont look bad to have split ends use lots of good and expensive conditioner and shampoo thats what split ends are but to keep it healthy and shiny and even when you go to school on on a rainy and humid foggy day wear slick and shine or polish oil ok ?
Hair straightener? DONT chemically straighten your hair my hairstylist did it and she said that after that her hair was never the same and that it was really damaged just use a hair straightner like Chi
Hair straightener? Curls are beautiful. You may want to consider taming them with a curl enhancer, and curling a few random pieces around a curling iron instead of straightning. But if you are going to do the whole "straight" thing, dont use a chemical relaxer. BAD DAMAGE. And, when it starts to grow out, you will look crazy. Try a chi flat iron, along with the iron guard 44 spray, and some chi frizz serum. Don't wash your hair everyday. Straighten it no more than 3X a week. Set your flat iron to 400 when straightning for maximum straightning. You may want to consider a satin pillow case. Keeps your hair from getting tangled.
