i have medium length, not really layered hair.. and whenever i curl my hair or make it wavy it goes out and sorta looks triangular shaped and big at only the bottom. how can i get pretty waves so that it looks even like this?

Things You Need:

-a blow dryer that offers between 1200 and 1500 watts and is light enough to hold easily

-sectioning clips

-straightening balm if hair has curl

-hairspray that will hold without -leaving hair crunchy

-large round brush

Step-by-Step Instructions

Apply your favorite straightening balm if hair has unwanted curl or wave.

Gently detangle hair, create part and allow to 90% air dry.

Horizontally section hair leaving a section free.

Pull up remainder of hair and pin in place with sectioning clips on top of head.

Divide the free hair into 4 manageable sections depending on thickness and length.

Hold dryer in one hand, brush in the other.

Choose one of the 4 sections and move the brush and the blow-dryer vertically, directing airflow down the hair shaft.

Continue from section to section of free hair until all the sections are dry and smooth.

Remove clips, horizontally section off more hair and allow this new section to fall loose.

Re-clip damp hair on top of head continue the drying steps as described above until all of the hair is completely dry.

Style with a brush to coax desired movement and then spray to hold

I like that idea. Also try a larger barrel curler (like a 2 inch one) and you might want to straighten your hair before you curl or wavy it. And I have a lot of thick hair too. Mine's not layered, but it is around a honey blonde color.

Go to a hair dresser or you can buy some hair straightning balm that straightens your hair when you put it in. just try out different things because i have the same problem my hair is naturally curly.

wash ur hair and put moisterizer in ur hair it makes the waves come out very pretty, buy a crimping iron those are some serious waves

you could straighten your hair, then curl it, and KINDA brush it out. then keep on repeating that process until u get the waves you want.

definately use brush curling iron to create that loose waves. put some light hair spray before you curl your hair..then starts curling it from 4 inches away from the scalp.

The reason her hair isn't so thick at the bottom is because she has a lot of layers... look around her face and you can see where some of the front pieces end. You'll need layers to get it to lay even.

get a hair stylist to curl your hair and if that dons'nt work mayby there is somthing wrong with you're iron.

Hair Dressers are good...get them to permanently straighten it then by a Curling Wand or your own Hair straightener.This way you can get wavy hair just like Hillary Duff!!

Looks like you could use the little bendable hot rollers to get this, just space them out a bit.

You can use your fingers to slighlty pull out the curl to make it more wavy instead of curly.

Its not all of her hair done just close to her face.
