Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

What hairstyle do u think looks best on a guy? I have medium length hair right now (no fancy stuff) and a kinda roundish face. What would help me get noticed by girls?

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

It depends what type of hair you have, but ladies like it when you look like you either spend time on your hair - spike it with wax or gel - or like you couldn't care less what your hair looks like - messy, not combed, bed-head. Most importantly, your hair should fit your style. Go for messy if you're a laid-back surfer/snowboarder type, spikey if you're more of a classy city guy. If you don't quite have a style, very short hair looks good on most guys.

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

I think the spikes look good

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

get some dark blonde highlights. ladies love the highlights. get it cut in a style

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

I would say longer hair, maybe down just past your ears. and shaggy not to neat.

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

You sound like you look great now, why worry about it. Personally I like a buzz

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

definatly some gel in it, with a little bit of hairspray.. dont make it look perfect by spiking it up all evenly, play with it to make it look natural, just neat. it is very attractive, especially if your face is more of a rounder shape.

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

I think I would go with what fits your personality. For instance, I am somewhat stylish and want to appear that way. I like looking fresh and up-to-date. It all depends on the type of person you are trying to impress and go from there.

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

Well in my opinion I like guys with short hair. Not like shaved off like a buzz cut but short. Good luck:)

Ladies only ..... hairstyle?

Depends on ur face and looks.I love a guy with spikey hair. But then again you always have to love the loose skater hair. Also i know some girls think its sexy when you have soft silky hair.Well good luck finding somethin u like. = )

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

My hair is pretty thick, about medium length and wavy naturally. I LOVE Taylor Swifts hair and I would like something like that or just loose curls. Is there a certain type of perm that works with thick hair or would it be a disaster??? Please only real answers and not opinions of how much u don't think a perm was a good idea unless i truely isn't going to look right. THANK YOU!

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

I think if you go to a good hair dresser and explain what you want you'll look great. You want a body wave or loose perm. I got that done and it looked great!

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

since your hair is thick and wavy, i don't think you should get a perm.

just curl your hair yourself and get big, bouncy curls instead. =]

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

No

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

A perm? Unless your an African American, perms always look early 90's to me, gross!

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

don't get a perm...it'll look really bad....use styling products to get Taylor's hair....I like how her hair is too....anyway...ya don't do it

Would a perm look ok in my hair???

Go for it!!!

Im 14 and wut kind of haircut should i get?

down to your sholders and layered with bangs it will look really pretty i think cuz thats what i have

Im 14 and wut kind of haircut should i get?

A shorter haircut would like nice.

Cut it around shoulder length. It would frame the face nicely.

Im 14 and wut kind of haircut should i get?

leave your lenght as long as you can but layer out your whole head and get higlights =]

Im 14 and wut kind of haircut should i get?

ask for long layers they look sooo cute

Im 14 and wut kind of haircut should i get?

pull a britney ;)

Im 14 and wut kind of haircut should i get?

One that's appropriate for a 14 year old girl. If you're going to a hair salon they can cut your hair according to your face features. Dominicans are the best hair cutters.

Good luck!

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

i have medium length hair so long stuff is out, help! Thanks!

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

I hate questions like this. Stop following trends!

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

you need to stop copying other people.

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

this one is cute.

http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l237/i...

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

I agree with purple_haze, but if emo is what you want, you'll want to cut your hair short in the back and leave it long in the front and have it all in your face. Dye it black if you must, and then add a chunk of color like red or blue.

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

Well I think that emo hairsyles are just crazy. It's a trend that will fade out soon. I would go with a classic style that has been popular for many years so when it switches you won' be stuck with a bad haurstyle.

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

um..

i dont know what it is with the whole emo thing. its honestly pretty amusing when i see some, even to my friends it is..

i dont know why you'd wanna get it

I need an emo/scene hairstlye,?

i cant beleive you would drastically change your hair for the worst trend ever..but if you must..get it thinnly chopped and dye it black

Help Me Find A New Style?

I could currently be classified as "preppy." I would like to find a new style (hair included) that is completely different, but not outside my comfort zone. I play a lot of sports, but I'm not a terribly huge fan of "sporty clothes." I was thinking of something kind of punk, but sophisticated. I'm a teenager, with medium length hair, by the way.

Any help would be apprieciated, I'm open to almost all ideas. Pictures would be fabulous. Thanks =)

Help Me Find A New Style?

Why are you making such an ill-advised decision?

How to get waves like vanessa hudgens?

I have seen everybody have waves in either in magazines on celebrities like vanessa hudgens and ashley tisdale. I have medium length hair and its straight on top but a lil bit wavy underneath. I have a 1 and half inch curling iron. What do i do in order to create waves like these celebrities?

How to get waves like vanessa hudgens?

curl all of your hair into ringlets (it 'll be like a shirley temple thing), then leave it in over night, by the time you wake up it will soften out and leave big way curls, hope that helps. make sure you put hairspray in but not too much. :)

How to get waves like vanessa hudgens?

get layers and maybe curl it lightly and then brush it out

I need a cute hairstyle help please!?

aighttt i have medium length hair just below my sholders. It is very fine and thin but frizzy. It is mostle straight with a little wave sometimes. I really need a good hairstyle but nothing that i need to go to a salon to get done what should i do. oh i forgot to mention i have sidebangs. I straighten it all the time and scrunching it never works so i need something fun, cute and casual. Please help i really want my hair to look pretty tonight!!

I need a cute hairstyle help please!?

Crazy Curls!

I need a cute hairstyle help please!?

I'm guessing you have a straightener, you could do something cute and make it straight, OR, you can do something fun and curl it, which will make you look really pretty and will bring more attention to your face.

If you have a frizzy hair problem, use Garner frutics's anti-frizz serum. It works really good!

I need a cute hairstyle help please!?

okay u say u have very fine thin hair well u can put u a lil camel hump in the top and a hollywood ponytail up high to the side in the bak that will be cute trust me

Mens haircut questions?

I want to get a nice medium length hair cut.Where to i get this at ? Do i go to a salon? I dont even know the name of the haircut i want what are terms? Is there sits I could go to to look at haircut styles? Is it better to let a girl in the salon do it then a barber? How much would this haircut probably cost? Iwanna look good for school. Thank you everyone ahead of time for your contributations

Mens haircut questions?

yes, always go to a salon to get better hairstyles. they cost around $20.00 these days. Barbers always want to do the crew cuts and old men cuts.

How to get scene hair? Please help.?

My hair is about medium-long length

i have black hair, no it's not dyed, it's natural =]

My hair is naturally straight and thick.

I want hair like this:

http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u16/_...

please help, thanks

How to get scene hair? Please help.?

Go to a hair salon and bring the picture you want, be sure they add lots and lots of layers, then to style it, after you get out of the shower add some kind of shine and heat protecting serum and let it air dry, after its air dryed straighten it, then add some Garnier Fructis Brillant Shing Water Base Shine Wax just a little tho, then make sure all you're hair is straight, fluff it like flip you're head upside down and mess it up a little, then tease the f^ck outta it.

Everything I used when I used to have somewhat scene hair.

Shampoo and coditoner- http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_pr...

Shine serum- shine http://www.biosilk.com/silk/

Thermal protector- Got 2 B Crazy Sleek Hot Smooth Flat Iron and Blow-Dry Lotion

Garnier Fructis Brillant Shing Water Base Shine Wax- http://www.garnierusa.com/_en/_us/our_pr...

Hair spray- Got 2 B Freez Spray

How to tease your hair- http://sloove.livejournal.com/78179.html...

How to get scene hair? Please help.?

what i did was that i took pictures to the salon when i got my hair cut scene-ish. just bring in those pictures and say that you want them to cut your hair like that :]

How to get scene hair? Please help.?

Go to a hair salon and ask if they can thin and layer your hair.

It wouldn't help to take a picture, too.

How to get scene hair? Please help.?

Just take a picture to the haircutter's (I'd take the first one) and tell her that you want it like that.

Then to style it like that you need texturizing wax/putty/glue/pomade.

Just comb it through your WET hair and straighten.

But don't straighten it too much, or it'll go limp.

Oh and you can get the bows at like Claire's or Walmart.

What would be a good style for me for homecoming?

I am 16, 5'7. Dark brown, medium length hair. Greenish eyes. Medium build and fair. I would like a dress that doesn't go to the floor or one that goes up to expose parts. please?

What would be a good style for me for homecoming?

dont fret. just find something easy to dance in.

I'm 16, too. This is what I wore: http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h263/t...

I got it at macys. It was perfect because it was school-appropriate and I could dance in it.

What would be a good style for me for homecoming?

Medium build = Fat?

What would be a good style for me for homecoming?

if you want to expose parts.. umm legs only i hope.. you could get a dress that has a cut in the side. also it really depends on the "theme" homecoming is set for. also don't forget that you might wear shoes there you'll probably just kick them off while dancing. everyone does eventually.

Promoting Hair Growth?

I'm looking for a vitamin or something that promotes hair growth. My hair is medium to long length and grows at an unusually slow rate. Has anyone tried any of these pills and what has or hasn't worked for you? I would also be interested in certain foods that do may do this too, if any.

Promoting Hair Growth?

take prenatal vitamins and stimulate your scalp with head massage. Also, your hair will grow faster in the summer months for some reason. Good luck! I'm growing mine too!

Promoting Hair Growth?

If you're worried about the pill try Mane 'N Tail shampoo %26amp; conditioner. It promotes hair growth, makes your hair shinier, softer, and stronger. You can buy it at Walgreens.

Promoting Hair Growth?

1/2 inch/ day

Promoting Hair Growth?

Vitamin E aids in hair/nail growth, as does adequate amounts of healthy fats in your diet. Take a multivitamin (Women's One A Day), and possibly some fish oil caplets or something.

Promoting Hair Growth?

Conditioning is a must in promoting growth. I don't really think there are too many pills that can help growth, but I thought that Vitamin E is moreso to keep a healthy sheen. However, I always hear that drinking plenty of water helps with growth. Use satin caps to protect the hair from breakage and you could try some more herbal products. At least the herbs can't hurt you like chemicals can.

Promoting Hair Growth?

If you eat very good your hair will grow faster. My mom used to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and she got way more haircuts than me. Any Vitamin pills will probably help

ooooookay....

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

My hair is naturally wavy/curly, medium length, but whenever I try to fix it into that cute, curly almost afro, it curls really tight and cute at the bottom, but not a the top. It is just plain straight at the top. All I do to fix it is wet it, put gel in it, and then tip my head upsidedown and scrunch it, while blowdrying it on the lowest setting. I want it to look like Kimberly Roads hair in the Little Big Town music videos. Can anyone help me on how to get my hair more volume and curl at the top???

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

When you are curling it get smaller amounts in the curler..hold your curling iron away from the base.. for example as your curling in a clock wise direction before you get to the base(scalp section you are curling) gently pull up your curling iron and back to the left for lift. Then hair spray lightly in that area before you release the iron from your hair.

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

You need an tiny curling iron or small sponge curlers.

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

I think that is the most you can do!

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

roller set it when damp using setting lotion and let it air dry

should give you the results you desire

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

cornrwos them remove them

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

try blowdrying it at the top and then curling it

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

Try using a diffuser. And Herbal Essenses just released a new mousse called totally twisted. It works! My hair is straight- semi wavy, and I tried it yesterday... the curls are still there. Hope this helps!

How can I make my hair into a REALLY curly cute almost afro?

Have it cut in shorter layers, (long layers leave too much weight on top).

Then do as you are doing now except blow dry on low setting upside down a little (damp not completely dry) before you put gel in it.

Sounds like you have the right idea, maybe just too heavy on top.

Cute style for a couple photoshoot?

I've been waiting to get this photoshoot done for months now. It was supposed to be an anniversary present but the girl was busy. So I pretty much forgot about it but now the offer stands for tomorrow or wednesday.. I really don't know how to look for it. =P

Dark brown curly medium length hair.

Brown eyes.

Olive skin.

Short 5'1

Rather busty.

So what should I go for? Babydoll tops make me look top heavy in a bad way. I'm rather lost with style. :[ I was told I looked good in green though..

Any cute looks with makeup? Pictures?

I just need some help lol.

thanks!

Cute style for a couple photoshoot?

Try a minimizer bra to not look so top heavy under your clothes. Get a top that ties at the waist to bring the eyes to your middle instead of your chest. Get a long necklace, double it so one is longer than the other to elongate you. Try some shorts that aren't overly short and some cute heels. If not dark jeans and heels work too.

For your hair, first loosely straighten it with a blowdryer then curl it but after run your hands through it to make it not look so neat. Finish with a hairspray that won't make your hair crunchy. Pin back your bangs or the hair framing your face with a jeweled barrette.

For your makeup, make your skin look matte by using a foundation then finishing with powder. Brush on a peachy blush lightly. Put on a subtle-coloured lip gloss that's not super shiny. Sweep a purple or pink eyeshadow from the inner to outer corners and just above the crease. You can use eyeliner if needed, but don't apply it too harshly. Curl your lashes then apply a black waterproof mascara because it will hold the curl longer. Use white/light light pink eyeliner/eye shadow on the inner corner of your eye to open it up.

Hope I helped :]

Cute style for a couple photoshoot?

no

Cute style for a couple photoshoot?

wear black its always sliming.put on a long necklace it always elongates.make sure your make up is simple and exentuates the things you like.if thats cheeks smile and put the blush or cheek base on your cheeks and bring it up and back into your hair line. keep your hair the way you normally wear it but refined.if you are the way you normally are the picture will feel less stiff.hope it helps!

So, how much hair loss provides me with a reason to be concerned?

I'll give a few details about myself, namely I am 16 years old. I do not take any medication. My hair is medium in length, I use this Fruictis shampoo and conditioner. I take a shower usually every day in the morning.

Yet, I'm not sure how much hair loss is normal for me. My hair does not come out in clumps or anything, but I Think I do loose more than natural. For example in the shower after rubbing my hair with shampoo, I can look on my hands and I'll find maybe five to ten strands of hair. Is this okay?

When I get out, I go to brush my teeth and sometimes I'll notice a hair or two fall out and land in the sink too..

Right now it's really just an inconvinience (it sucks to clean up hair), my hair itself looks very healthy and I don't appear to have any thinning spots, but it's still seems to be reason for concern. Like, after a week if I sweep the floor I'll find quite a few hair strands in with the dust and whatnot.

So, how much hair loss provides me with a reason to be concerned?

What you are describing seems normal to me. It's what my friends %26amp; I experience too.

Here's the best article I've found for you:

"Hair Loss

Baldness or hair loss is typically something only adults need to worry about. But in a few cases, teens lose their hair, too é–³?and it may be a sign that something's going on. Hair loss during adolescence can mean a person's sick or maybe just not eating right. Some medications or medical treatments, like chemotherapy treatment for cancer, also cause people to lose their hair. And people can even lose their hair if they wear a hairstyle that pulls on their hair for a long time, such as braids.

Losing hair can be stressful during a time when appearance really matters, but the good news is that hair loss that happens during the teen years is often temporary. Once the problem that causes it is corrected, the hair usually grows back.

Hair Basics

Our hair is made of a type of protein called keratin. A single hair consists of a hair shaft (the part that shows), a root below the skin, and a follicle, from which the hair root grows. At the lower end of the follicle is the hair bulb, where the hair's color pigment, or melanin, is produced.

Most people lose about 50 to 100 head hairs a day. These hairs are replaced é–³?they grow back in the same follicle on your head. This amount of hair loss is totally normal and no cause for worry. If you're losing more than that, though, something may be wrong. The medical term for hair loss é–³?losing enough hair that a person has visibly thin or balding patches é–³?is alopecia.

If you have unusual hair loss and don't know what's causing it, it's a good idea to see your doctor. A doctor can determine why the hair is falling out and suggest a treatment that will correct the underlying problem, if necessary.

What Causes Hair Loss?

Here are some of the things that can cause hair loss in teens:

* Illnesses or medical conditions. Endocrine (hormonal) conditions, such as uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid disease, can interfere with hair production and cause hair loss. People with kidney and liver diseases and lupus can also lose hair. The hormone imbalance that occurs in polycystic ovary syndrome can cause hair loss in teen girls as well as adult women.

* Medications. Some medications that have hair loss as a side effect may be prescribed for teens. These include acne medicines like isotretinoin, and lithium, which is used to treat bipolar disorder. Diet pills that contain amphetamines can also cause hair loss. Chemotherapy drugs for cancer are probably the most well-known medications that cause hair loss, but some cancers including leukemia and lymphoma can cause hair loss even before treatment begins.

* Alopecia areata (pronounced: air-ee-ah-tuh). This skin disease causes hair loss on the scalp and sometimes elsewhere on the body. It affects 1.7% of the population, including more than 4 million people in the United States. Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune disease, in which the hair follicles are damaged by a person's own immune system. (In autoimmune diseases, the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, tissues, and organs in a person's body.) Alopecia areata usually starts as one or more small, round bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total hair loss, although total hair loss only happens in a small number of cases. Both guys and girls can get it, and it often begins in childhood. The hair usually grows back in 6 months to 2 years, but not always.

* Trichotillomania (pronounced: trik-o-til-uh-may-nee-uh). Trichotillomania is a psychological disorder in which people repeatedly pull their hair out, often leaving bald patches. It results in areas of baldness and damaged hairs of different lengths. People with trichotillomania usually need professional help from a therapist or other mental health professional before they can stop pulling their hair out.

* Hair treatments and styling. Having your hair chemically treated, such as getting your hair colored, bleached, straightened, or permed, can cause damage that may make the hair break off or fall out temporarily. Another type of baldness that results from hair styling can actually be permanent: If a person wears his or her hair pulled so tightly that it places tension on the scalp, it can result in a condition called traction alopecia. Traction alopecia can be permanent if the style is worn for a long enough time that it damages the hair follicles.

* Poor nutrition. Poor eating can contribute to hair loss. This is why some people with eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia lose their hair: The body isn't getting enough protein, vitamins, and minerals to sustain hair growth. Some teens who are vegetarians also lose their hair if they don't get enough protein from non-meat sources. And some athletes are at higher risk for hair loss because they may be more likely to develop iron-deficiency anemia.

* Disruption of the hair growth cycle. Some major events can alter the hair's growth cycle temporarily. For example, delivering a baby, having surgery, or getting anesthesia can temporarily stop the hair growth cycle. (Because the hair we see on our heads has actually taken months to grow, a person may not notice any disruptions of the hair growth cycle until months after the event that caused it.) This type of hair loss corrects itself.

* Male-pattern baldness. Among adults, particularly men, the most common cause of hair loss is androgenetic (pronounced: an-druh-juh-neh-tik) alopecia, also called male-pattern baldness. This condition is caused by a combination of factors, including hormones called androgens and genetics. In some males, the hair loss can start as early as the mid-teen years. It can also occur in guys who take steroids like testosterone to build their bodies.

What Can Doctors Do?

If you see a doctor about hair loss, he or she will check your scalp and, in some cases, may take hair samples. You may also be tested for certain medical conditions that can cause hair loss.

If medication is causing hair loss, ask the doctor if a different drug can be substituted. If your hair loss is due to an endocrine condition, like diabetes or thyroid disease, proper treatment and control of the underlying disorder is important to reduce or prevent hair loss. Using a product like minoxidil that can discourage hair loss and speed up hair growth also may be helpful. Alopecia areata can be helped by treatment with corticosteroids. And if a doctor finds that nutritional deficiencies are causing your hair loss, he or she may refer you to a dietitian or other nutrition expert.

Catastrophic Hair Loss

Hair loss can be the first outward sign that a person is sick, so it may feel scary. Teens who have cancer and lose their hair because of chemotherapy treatments go through a difficult time, especially girls.

It can help to feel like you have some control over your appearance when you're losing your hair. Try some of the many options for disguising hair loss é–³?such as wearing wigs, hair wraps, hats, and baseball caps. For most teens who lose their hair, the hair does return é–³?including after chemotherapy. And hair loss during chemotherapy is usually a sign that the treatment is working to destroy the cancer cells because you can see how it's working on the good cells (your hair!).

Taking Care of Your Hair

Eating a balanced, healthy diet is important for a lot of reasons, and it really benefits your hair. And don't forget to treat your hair well. For example, some doctors recommend using baby shampoo, shampooing no more than once a day, and lathering gently. Don't rub your hair too vigorously with a towel, either. Many hair experts suggest you consider putting away the blow-dryer and air drying your hair instead. If you can't live without your blow-dryer, try using it on a low heat setting.

Style your hair when it's dry or damp. Styling your hair while it's wet can cause it to stretch and break. And try to avoid teasing your hair, which can also cause damage. Finally, be careful when using chemicals é–³?such as straighteners or color é–³?on your hair.

So, how much hair loss provides me with a reason to be concerned?

Most healthy adults loose 40-100 hairs a day on average. It's just normal.

Hi help i havent been to school for ages?

hi i havent been to school for ages and im going back tomorrow i am so scared.. ive been ill for weeks... and yer im so scared... have you got any ideas how I could get a new look? im a girl with blonde medium length hair and im 14. how do i stop the nerves? i am so nervous! its like starting a new school again

Hi help i havent been to school for ages?

You'll be fine; make yourself feel better by getting your hair done; not too different in case you don't like a drastic change and increase your anxiety. A little extra make-up, cute outfit, and then relax as the people notice that you're back. You're going to feel special. Glad you're feeling better!

Hi help i havent been to school for ages?

IF you can get it cut shoulder length with a fringe.

Get a new bag, and clothes that suit your figure more.

Also go with a confidence, dont show them your scared, be glad to see them, go and hug them and get them talkign abou themslefs and what theive been up to.

If you like someone its your perfect opportunity to re-introduce yourself, go there and tell him you missed him and what hes been up to!

Dye your nails a colour that stands out- red.

Eye make up, eye liner, a bit of lipgloss and mascara!

HAir- down, and in anyway to suit your face!

Good luck- hope i helped!: )

Hi help i havent been to school for ages?

you shouldn't be nervous if you are going to the same school you were at before. your friends will still be there right? get a cute hair cute and a new outfit it you don't have to wear a uniform or new shoes!

Hi help i havent been to school for ages?

Sophie --

#1) Go for something "average" looking. There is no point in trying for something over the top just because you've been gone for a while.

#2) One day is not going to make or break how people feel about you.

#3) It sounds like you're feeling nervous overall and not just about your hair. While I know its important to be liked at 14 and your emotions are going nuts, take some deep breaths and relax. You're going to be fine.

Hi help i havent been to school for ages?

don't worry! just act casual!!

Which cut is best for fine hair?

I have waist length hair. Fine in texture and medium in thickness. I'm going to get another trim soon and I'm wondering whether it would be better to have it :

1. Blunt Cut

2. Long layers throughout

OR

3.Long Layers down the sides/one length in the back

I'm wanting my hair to look thicker. I'm not willing to cut a lot of length off.

Which cut is best for fine hair?

Long layers would be great!

Which cut is best for fine hair?

I would cut maybe an inch off the bottom, just to avoid split ends. Do the layered look, but have some layers in the back. It might look weird with no layers. Make sure they're long and don't forget to get chin-length bangs.

Which cut is best for fine hair?

alot of people have ther hair in a short bob like all the celebs r gettin or have layers like u said and have it featherd to make it look heavyer but light and fluffy or have long and short layers though out making yh hair look thick in different parts i hope this helped !!!

Which cut is best for fine hair?

the best way to get fine hair to look thicker is to cut off the length that's weighing it down

i know, it's hard to do but i think you would really love it after you get used to having shorter hair. I'm not talking super short, just shoulder length or so.

Which cut is best for fine hair?

Blunt Cut (Bob Style)

Try one of these.

Help me? PLEASE!!!!!! OUCH!?

I have an EXTREMELY dry and itchy scalp! I have somewhat medium length hair and i keep it in braided styles. I just had to take my braids out because my scalp was on fire from the open sores and the bleeding(i know eww!)! But get this, the braids were not that tight. I mean anyone that has ever got their hair braided before knows there is a certain amount of pulling that is necessary to form the braid but they were not too tight! It just my scalp is so tender that almost ANY amount of pulling usually results in EXTREME discomfort. I know it's mostly because i have not found an effective way to moisturize my scalp but i have not found any good products. I also have ezcema, although not it's not a severe case, i know it's contributing to the dryness and tightness of my scalp. I need suggestions, any good products or people out there with the same problem but have solved it please tell me how you did it! I love my braids and won't cut them so that is not an option. Thanks in advance!

Help me? PLEASE!!!!!! OUCH!?

You need to first moisturize your scalp before you can worry too much about the excema part of it. If you took your braids out that's great and step one. Leave them out for awhile if you can. Try to use Biolage Ultra-Hydrating Balm. (salon product, i'm a hairdresser) That will help moisturize...that's the conditioner, also use the shampoo. Make sure to leave the conditioner on for at least 5 minutes in the shower. If you want to outside of the shower, use it as a conditioning treatment and leave it on for 1/2 hr. Once you get rid of the sores and the bleeding then you need to focus on the excema.

Use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo and conditioner. They make a whole line even a body bar if you have excema elsewhere on your body. That will take some of the flakiness away from your scalp.

If you need to use a leave in conditioner Paul Mitchell Tea Tree also makes one of those as a leave-in/all over lotion. It works great! I have dry skin and it really does work good.

If you need anything else, just e-mail me!

Help me? PLEASE!!!!!! OUCH!?

My son has dry scalp issues and excema, the doc gave him an Rx of Hydrox- it really has helped!

Other OTC products like nutrogena T-gel or T-sal are also relatively effective. Much luck...I do suggest seeing a doc if it does not improve.

Help me? PLEASE!!!!!! OUCH!?

ok

I know its wierd but rub in lotion like any kind

preferably something soothing like Johnson and Johnson(baby stuff) but anyways

rub it in kind of like shampoo but don't scratch and leave it in there for about 10 minutes and then wash it out

and then rub it in one more time and leave it

and wash it out the next morning

repeat every day

Help me? PLEASE!!!!!! OUCH!?

ok, i know this works perfectly for people with dandruf. use 1 cup of vinegar with 2 cups of warm water and rinse your hair with it. wrap it in a towel and leave it over night. do this every other day ofr a month. it works great for that itch and dry scalp since it neutralizes the ph level of your scalp. however the only down side is the weird smell you get from it.

Help me? PLEASE!!!!!! OUCH!?

dont shower with hot water it dries out your scalp

Girls, please answer this?

I am a Korean guy 16 years old, 5 foot and 7 inches tall, 130 pounds (I'm looking to gain some weight), I have medium length hair and hazel brownish eyes. Do I sound good to the ladies? Do you girls care about the stereotype of Asians being asexual and haveing small "packages"?

Looking forward to your comments

Girls, please answer this?

Do you understand what "asexuality" means?

Girls, please answer this?

Girls, please answer this?

If your nice and smart and are a sci-fi fan, you sound appealing.

Girls, please answer this?

i can't be with someone who is my height and weighs only 5lbs more than me....sorry, i'm sure you'll find a nice tiny girl for you.

Girls, please answer this?

I'm assuming the stereotype is true?

Girls, please answer this?

Wow!! What's This about smaller Packages!! Never heard that before this minute. Swear. Is it true? Most myths are based on something you know............Right?? @8-)

Girls, please answer this?

no, they don't. Don't worry about it so much, just be yourself.

Girls, please answer this?

Girls, please answer this?

If I was a HOT *** babe, then I would say: "There's nothing like seeing in-person"........ Hence, I can't really say ;) (except for, sound "ok" to me).

Girls, please answer this?

I don't care about your body or your racial background. We get along, you have a great sense of humor... we're perfect.

Girls, please answer this?

Well you said nothing of your personality. As long as you have pleasant personality and treat others with respect, then I don't see why you should have to many problems.

Girls, please answer this?

We are not as shallow as many guys seem to think. Even though looks is what attracts us the personality is what keep us. So don't worry about the stereotype or anything like that if you are a likable guy then i am sure someone will fall for you.

Girls, please answer this?

Yea, you seem like a genuine guy, and that's all that matters in my book, not ur looks!

Girls, please answer this?

not going to lie i have a thing for korean boys!! BIN WON!!

Girls, please answer this?

Your description of yourself sounds fine. Don't worry about being stereotyped... there's one for so many different kinds of people, and they're always so ridiculous. When you meet the right girl, she will like YOU alone as a unique individual.

Girls, please answer this?

sounds good. But cut your hair. Short hair is the best. As long as you're a good guy with some appeal, I dont see why you will have problems with the ladies. And its not the size of the boat its the motion in the ocean lol

Girls, please answer this?

All girls like to be treated nice and respected., feelings are what we care about!

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

Ok, I'm not sure how to handel my hair. Let me describe it:

Medium length

I'm black and white

Reeally thick

Oily and itchy

Curlyish/ wavy

My mom says washing it more than every three weeks is bad, but think washing LESS than every TWO weeks is bad. Do you agree? But anyways after it gets washed what do I do?? Do i immediatly braid it and let is air dry or blow dry or what?

How do I make my hair shiny w/o oil And I want to enhance my curls. I mean I can braid my hair and have nice curls but what else is there? I've tried Sunsilk, but that made me itchy. Its weird because black products make me hair oily and weighed down, but white products don't work good enough. I want to try mixed chicks but my mom thinks it wont work. does it work??

Explains thickness and dullness

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb150...

Oily!!

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb150...

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb150...

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

Whoo, I'm mixed too! I love these questions because I feel as if I can answer them best. ANYHOO.

I'm mixed with asian %26amp; black. My hair is very curly %26amp; thick. It's not coarse or nappy though (sorry that I don't have a picture. I'll try to find one though, message me if you would like to see one). This is what I do:

Washing:

I use Garnier Fructis Curl %26amp; Shine shampoo, conditioner, %26amp; leave in conditioner. I wash my hair once a week, usually Sunday's (its most convient being Sunday and its after my softball tournaments). I've noticed Garnier works well for my hair, it doesn't dry out by the end of the week, it still curls, and it smells awesome. After shampooing and conditioning, I towel dry my hair and put in the leave in conditioner while its damp. Then I let it air dry.

Styling:

I wet my hair every morning %26amp; I never comb my hair. That takes out the curl. I only finger comb %26amp; that's while wetting my hair. Then I use Sunsilk Frizz Ease 24/7 creme, the green bottle (I know you said it makes your scalp itchy.. maybe try Garnier Fuctis Curl Creme then?), %26amp; follow up with mousse (I like Tresseme Curl Care, but Garnier Curl Construct works well too) if my curls seem more stringly then curled. Then I add hairspray (I use Aussie) for hold (you can skip the mousse %26amp; hairspray if you don't like a crunch feel). I personally never use gel because I don't like how it leaves my hair feeling.

Other:

I always put my hair in a bun when I go to sleep at night just so it won't be everywhere in the morning.

In response to what you typed, I used to use Motions (for black people) but I found it didn't do anything great (And I got one of those travel sized 'Pink' lotions. Ugh, so heavy; that was awful), so I started using other products. I finally found that Garnier works for me. Don't use Pantene, leaves buildup %26amp; Suave dried out my hair.

Also, it appears your hair is permed (%26amp; btw, your hair does not look oily in those pictures. It has nice shine!). Is it? I hope not, because us mixed people have beautiful hair (not to take away from people who are not mixed. I wouldn't mind wavy or straight hair!) %26amp; you shouldn't perm it. People REFUSED to even texturize my hair.

Also, don't straighten it too much either. That damages hair, especially ours because its already curly %26amp; more prone to be dry. I just recentely bought a flat iron (can't recommend anything because I haven't tried it), but I'm not planning on straightening more than once a month.

Sorry that this is so long, but I hope this helps! Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns! Good luck!

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

I think you're my hair twin!! Lol. Yeah, I'm half black and half white too. My hair gets like that- but it's really dry, not oily.

You need to wash it at least once a week. I wash mine every Friday and Saturday, then my mom helps me straighten it on Sunday before school.

I would get it done professionally once, and ask them what to do. They can give you great tips and a great style!!

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

yeah, i am in the same situation.

minus the itchiness.

but, yeah.

sorry, i'm not sure.

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

you should use REDKIN ALL-SOFT shampoo and conditioner then use REDKIN BUTTER TREAT after both of those. you should wash your hair once a week!!! also, if you want to enhance your curls get a curl reformation. and if you want it to be straight, blow dry it with a 2inch round brush pulling it out straight.

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

You need to be washing your hair at least once a week with a purifying shampoo, like Solve by Redken, followed by a good lightweight conditioner that will help tame the frizziness you'll get from blowdrying but be heavy enough to combat dryness. I'd try Smooth Down by Redken as well, leave it on for about 2 minutes while your in the shower. You need to put products in your hair to help you out while your blow drying it, and your gonna need an oil or a serum for that just don't use too much. You could try going to a salon too and seeing what they say, but I'm a hairdresser and those are my recommendations. Good luck!

Questions about my hair [pics included]?

I have a question for you : Is your mom white? I'm mixed too Puerto rican and jamaican so I get what your saying. I personally wash my hair more than every two weeks but i deep condition it once a week. I also blow dry my hair once a week . if you want your hair to curl try a curling mouse or setting lotion once you get out of the shower and scrunch your hair and blow dry with a diffuser. Is your hair relaxed? Try John Frieda 100% shine glossing mist it wont make your hair oily .Never tried mixed chicks. but i have tried a whole bunch of other products if you want anymore advice. :)

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

im 16 and im going to my aunt's 40th anniversary, the party is going to be a lunch party ..at 12-4pm, i need help! i don't know what kind of make up i should wear!

i have beige skin, brown eyes, and dark brown medium length hair (i don't kno if u need to kno that lol)

i think im planning to wear a silk black blouse and a skirt...

so plz, any make up advice?!

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

You are young so less is more. I have done make-up professionally and all you will need is some mascara, a little blush, and a nice lip gloss. Not lipstick. Throw some type of body spray in your hair and your set. No sparkles especially during the day. It is very tacky no matter your age. Have fun.

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

Either accentuate the eyes or the lips, don't do both, or else you'll look funny.

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

i would go natural. a little eyeliner. and maybe an olive eyeshadow. mascara lip gloss if you like? if you wear cover up then that too lol.

dont forget perfume!

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

you should try a light brown eye make up...

or a green shade, not bright tho, lik a dark green. and with an even darker green eye liner! it would look soo good.

or you can do the traditional black...which i use with EVERY color =]

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

No blacks please. It's a lunch party so dress up in some pastel colours and wear light makeup with brown liner and brown lipstick to compliment your eyes. If you still wanna wear black silk blouse...use a shimmery make up...u'll look gr8 :-)

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

I would wear some shimmery natural tone that isreally pretty on any skin tone and can b worn 4 all occasions clubs weddings partys anything like a shimmery beige and light pink or souch like that! Good luck and a lipgloss would also look nice in a shimmery natural also

MAKE UP HELP for anniversary!?

forward this question to a MAC makeup artist, you can email them and they can suggest a look for you. even if you can't afford their makeup right now, you can use similar colors that they recommend to you from drugstore makeup. hope this helps sweetie!

Hair help?! I want layers with side bangs but I dont know what kind to do. HELP ME!?

Ok so I have a darkish brown hair. It is a little past my shoulders and layered. (although the layers have grown out by now.) I have side bangs but they also grew alot and now just look overgrown and rather unkept. My hair also has alot of split ends and tends to be wavy and poofy naturally. This is why I straighten my hair every morning. (which would explain the split ends)

Also I have a small roundish face. I need hair that fits that. I want something with layers, but not to springy layers. Just so you can deffinately notice them while I have my hair straightened. I also want side swept bangs. Of medium length around. Maybe just a little past the cheek bone. Also I want to keep my hair around its original length.

I NEED PICTURES OF SOME SUGGESTIONS! Could you go on google or photobucket and find a picture of a hairstyle that would be perfect for me? And post a link? Im not a wild girl but I want something to spice it up a bit. THANKS! %26lt;3

Frizzy hair..............??

wats r wayz 2 make my hair unfrizzy?itz wavy curly kinda and medium length n it soo annoyin everytime i wanna brush it, it gets mad frizzy..i got herbal essence for frizz u think itll work?n wen am i going 2 start sein rezults?thx

Frizzy hair..............??

Well brushing it is probably making it worse. There are products to apply to your hair like Frizz Ease that will help. You can find them at the drugstore or where ever you buy your shampoo. Just apply a small amount. A little goes a long way. If you apply too much it'll look greasy.

Frizzy hair..............??

use this product from wal-mart its called FRIZZ OFF it works wonders!!

Frizzy hair..............??

There is a gel at Walgreen, WalMart, or any other local store it comes in a purple container and u rub it into ur hair before and after u straighten it will make it more shiny, soft, and less frizzy! (srry i forgot what it's called)

Good-Luck!

Frizzy hair..............??

I'll ignore the poor grammar, and answer this seriously.

Never use a brush on curly/ frizzy hair. When it's washed, use a pick. It stops the frizz.

Frizzy hair..............??

the john frida frizz-ease serum works really well, also don't wash it more than twice a week and use a rich conditioner. Don't brush it either, just seperate the curls.

Frizzy hair..............??

You can try the product SunSilk. You can purchase it at Target. They have different products aimed at different hair types. They have one for frizzy hair.

GoodLuck

Frizzy hair..............??

try neutrogena triple moisture, or anything reputable with shea butter. try straightening thy hair too.

Frizzy hair..............??

Well, I use Herbal Essence, It works for my hair after maybe the sixth time you use it. But also, other thing to help it not frizz is when you dry your hair, don't scrub it dry, pat it squeeze it, then when you're all done drying your hair with towel, keep your hair brushed, when its nearly dry, brush again so it won't come frizz again when it gets to completely dry. I love Herbal Essence, it works and it smells good at the same time! By the way, DON"T EVER use any gel, they have wax in them that makes your hair shiner BUT it will make your hair duller and have more split ends also build wax and dullness in your hair and it will even make it more frizzy only uglier. Don't ever use Pantene. It doesnt do anything but makes your hair duller, and builds bad things in it. Also eating the right food helps build strong hair and beautiful hair. Mostly Vitiman C and B2h, and be sure to take good supplements, go to near paramacy and ask for good supplements for your hair. I know this because I used to have frizz hair, the WORSE one. Hope this helped. Ciao

---Kat

Frizzy hair..............??

you need a finishing cream. meaning, after you wash it, dry it and curl it,, you apply this lotion, or kinda oily substance on it to keeps the frizz down. you may wast to also use some kind of mousse to control your hair while it is drying.

Frizzy hair..............??

Wash your hair in warm - not hot - water. Before you get out of the shower, run cool water over your hair (as cold as you can take it). When your hair is steamed in the shower it opens the cuticles, so running cold water over it closes the cuticle and will help your frizz calm down. Blow dry 8-10 inches from your head *not* on the hottest setting. You can try a metal round brush while drying. Blow dry from above so the hair lays down flat. Follow up with Citrishine anti-frizz serum. It will make your hair shiny and frizz free. Use it *after* styling. Buy a high quality boar bristle brush (Target has one by Conair that's only about $10). Brush from the root to the tip in slow, long strokes after you style and before you go to bed. This brings the oil from the roots of your hair through to the tips and will naturally condition your hair and help with frizz.

Frizzy hair..............??

silk therapy it is very good i use it on my hair and my hair is very curly it is a little bit expensive but it works i am also a hairdresser too

i like long hair and just straight because u can curl it if u want and pull it back into a smooth pony tail. because with layers, pieces will fall out.

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

Ok, I'm 16 years old, almost 17. I have started to grow in rather thick dark medium-length hairs on my shoulders and upper back. They are really bothersome and I'm embarrassed by it to say the least, I'd rather not take my shirt off infront of anyone... I've been using an electric trimmer to trim them down a little bet but they grow back really fast.. What should I do?

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

Body hair is hot.

Keep it and love it!

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

u should wax them

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

it would cost you nothing and accept it as a normal fact of life, but if you really want you could save some money and get a waxing.

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

If shaving isn't helping that much, I'd try waxing. I'm sure at 16, you don't have a ton of money lying around to spend at a salon, so maybe head to your grocery store and buy some wax...you could do it yourself (at least the shoulder part) or have someone help you. When you wax, the hair doesn't return for a few weeks, and then you don't have to worry about it so frequently. Good luck!

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

I agree with the other guy...wax it. Plus the more you wax it the less the hair grows back. And the pain, it will hurt the first time but the more you do it the less it hurts.

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

ask ur parents for the money on christmas to get it lazered and they wont ever grow

or ask them for u to get them waxed

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

wax it

16 Yr Old, Hairy Shoulders(male)?

oh! my fellow! ur like me! lol

hmmm! i started gettin hairy when i hit 18. now im 19 and i can tell ya im considered Hairy!! thats correct, like u, im not very keen to show off by takin ma T-shirt off with all hair. i guess go get it lasered or something. thats what i would altimately do! coz it sucks. im a body builder and i dont wanna waste all that workout under that fuzzy ''rug" lol!

dont bother with any shaving or waxing and... iv done them all and theyre just the wast of money and time, WAX DOESNT REDUCE YOUR HAIR. might work differently for girls but not for hairy guys. for sure.

good luck

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

I'm really getting tired of my plain o' dark brown hair. I need change! I'm thinkin' of mixin' things up with a few highlights. What do yall think would be a good color?

I have...

dark brown- big eyes

light caramel skin (think Halle Berry or Alicia Keys)

Mid-back length, currently layered hair. Most of the time its straightened, but sometimes I have braids.

Nothing crazy, please!

And a lil question - anyone mixed with black and white ever gotten highlights? I wanna know if it causes any damage or dryness on this hair type. (Curly in the back, not-totally-straight but somewhat in the front, frizzy everywhere)

Thanks!!!

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

u wud look soooooo pretty with caramel or almond~!

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

i think it would look cool to get like a browny red color to bring out ut eyes and really make ur skin pop!! good luck

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

all over light brown painted. painting is a new hair technique similar to highlights but better and more natural looking. Try not straightening it a few days out of every week and see hoe you like it.

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

Im mixed with blak and white and i got highlights like 2 months ago and gurl it didnt mess up my hair the way you discribe it your hair is the same as minez so like i would try to go with "abroy blonde" or natural blonde. And gurl change iz a good thing!!!

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

platinummmmm........looks GREAT on tan skinned people

What's a good hair color (highlights) for someone with light/medium caramel skin?

I think that you should go with honey blonde highlights or if you want to change your hair color completely you should try maybe a deep cherry color (if you're into reds) or a deep copper. or if you want to go lighter, try honey blonde with light-brown highlights.

new hair colors and/or highlights will also bring out your eyes.

Supposed to do my sisters hair for homecoming, she has short hair?

Okay, the beatuitian wasnt able to do her hair today for homecoming, she called in sick. So, How could I style my sisters hair that is about ear lobe length??? She has medium brown hair with red highlights as well.... Any suggestions??

Supposed to do my sisters hair for homecoming, she has short hair?

Just do a little curl here and there.

her dress should do the rest of the job

Supposed to do my sisters hair for homecoming, she has short hair?

I think you should put twists in the front as if you were going to do an updo. Interlock the twists at the top of her head. Then let the back hang but use the curlers to flip it up.

Supposed to do my sisters hair for homecoming, she has short hair?

Curl her hair with a curl iron average diameter 1/2 inch. Then smothe the hair in the back upand the side giving the elusion that there is more hair and that it's an d up do.

Supposed to do my sisters hair for homecoming, she has short hair?

Using a curling iron do sexy fun flares! Start from the bottom working your way up! Start by using hairspray on a sectioned pieces and curl the iron once around since the hair is short and hold for about 3 seconds. The flare should stick up right and strong, don't worry about that yet. Work all around the head row by row making the flares. After your done you should have hard flares all over. Run your fingers through the flares gently to seperate them and hairspray again all over to hold the look. Do not flare the bangs, leave them sleek and smooth, parted to the side. And you're done! GOOD LUCK!

Supposed to do my sisters hair for homecoming, she has short hair?

if you have time to go to the mall to a professional stylist that has walk ins could help her. ormaybe some pomade to spike up her hair.

Help, I want a different style for pigtails?

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v461/M...

That is my current hairstyle, it's layered, that is wavy, but it'll go a lot curlier!

This is the back of my hair: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v461/M...

I saw someone with the same sort of style, layered, medium length hair, and it was a cute wavy, she had a braid on the top of her head sort of (but to the side) then it swept into two pig tails... I am wondering how I can do this, and if you have any other suggestions let me know! Thanks so much!

Help, I want a different style for pigtails?

I understand what your saying and your pretty. Anyhow i dont think your hair is long enough to do that. I think you would need bangs for those two long pig tails. Unless you want some really short up tight curly unnatural pigtails

Help, I want a different style for pigtails?

if you straighten your hair, it will be longer. then maybe you can put it up into pigtails. if not, just leave it down straight! low pigtails are the best option.

Help, I want a different style for pigtails?

Tie them into a half-ponytail.

Can you find me a picture...?

Any ideas for a new look?

Any ideas for a new look?

Thinned hair.?

My hair is between short and medium-length and the other day I went to thin my hair because it is awfully thick and poofy, I said I don't want my hair to get shorter but the guy messed up and thinned almost from the roots causing little hair pieces to go up like spikes. As the time passed, I went to another place but this time they cut the ends and my hair got like one inch shorter. Is there a way to thin without affecting the length? I obviously know nothing about hair.

Thinned hair.?

You could get it chemically straightened

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

My oldest daughter has medium length thick curly hair. When I brush it gently with detangler, it hurts her and she cries. So if we aren't leaving the house that day, I won't brush it. I feel like I'm torchering her for no reason. I've tried to get her to cut it shorter, but she says she doesn't want to look like a boy. She's 6 years old. Do you think I should just brush her hair everyday or is it ok that I don't brush it on days we don't leave the house?

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

It's not bad at all so if it works for you then dont worry about it.

The only time i would say it's a problem is if it's going to make it worse the next day.

I used to have waist long thick hair when i was young and it was an nightmare, my parents got so fed up with it.

We always found that leave-in conditioners were quite helpful for softening up the hair and keeping out knots. I also had it plaited everynight so that it kept tangling to a minimum in the night.

You could also always show her pics of pretty girls with shorter hair (shorter doesn't mean she has to have a 'boy' cut, she might not realise this) but children can be stubbon so don't persist if it won't work.

Really, though don't worry to much, she'll likely get fed up with it herself eventually and want it shorter. Not brushing her hair is not a bad thing, especially as your only doing so as not to upset her. But just be aware that i may make it harder the next day.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

What? My mom never brushed my hair... Although, dont worry SO much if you hurt her a little bit. It's going to no matter what you do. If you are that worried about it, use conditioners or different shampoos to make her hair softer and less tangled.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I would brush her hair for the simple fact it will urt worse the next day if you do not. My daughter use to cry when getting her hair brushed I had it cut to chin length no tangles.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

When you brush it make sure to start from the bottom, it also helps to gather her hair together with one hand, like a ponytail, it helps to avoid any unneccessary pulling on the scalp.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I see nothing wrong with that. I have a2yr old daughter and her hair is curly and if i know we are not going anywhere, I won't do her hair.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I use try to relax it or straighten it with a formula to help her out. I will brush my daughter hair everyday, because I know how bad my hair got with knots if I didn't brush it everyday. I had to cut my hair out.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I don't think you are a bad Mom for not brushing her hair every day if that's what you mean... but for her to get in a good routine, I'd almost say to brush it every day so she gets used to it. I get tangles too... what my hair stylist does is hold my hair by the scalp, and then hold it back while he's brushing the tangles out. This helps, and doesn't hurt at all. Not sure if you'll know what I mean by this lol, but hold a small section of hair- not at the end, but closer to her head.. hold it and pull her hair towards her head with that hand, while you brush- it kind of goes the other way when you brush, so as a result, it helps not hurt your head.

I think if you give in to not brushing on days you are home with her, she will throw a bigger fit when you go to do it on days she is out. So if she gets used to it every day, there will be less fussing about it.

Goodluck!

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I have natural curly hair also.My kids did too.If you wash it and use a good conditioner and not rinse all of the conditioner out it will be much easier to brush.Brush it while it is still wet and the tangles will not be so hard to get out. Also keeping it up in a ponytail or something will keep it from tangleing. It does need to be brushed daily sometimes more than once.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

You're the mom, you will do whatever you see fit. My stand on your situation, though, is that kids do whatever they can to get attention.... positive or negative. She may say it hurts and you may feel as if you are torturing her, but I doubt it's hurting as much as she makes it out to be. My 3 year old does the same thing. She's got curly hair and I spray that stuff down with detangler and brush it lightly. Just to test her, I brushed her hair and then pulled the brush away from her head and kept on with the brushing motion. She kept crying and saying it hurt so bad. No brush on her head. It's just another ploy (in my daughter's case) to delay the process of getting ready.

What I do every night now is I wash her hair and condition it (keep the conditioner in for a couple of minutes) and comb her hair with a wide-tooth comb while she's still in the bath and focusd on playing with her toys. When she gets out of the tub, I comb her hair again and I braid her hair in a low braid (at the nape of her neck) and tie the end with a "ouchless" elastic. She'll sleep on it, her hair dries, and it doesn't get tangled at night because it's not going every which way when she sleeps like a maniac. I do the same thing in the morning with brushing and she still tells me "it hurts" sometimes. There are times where I WILL get a kink or two and I know it's gonna hurt. I tell her and hold the hair in my hand and give the hair from the end of my hand to her head some slack to help with the pulling (so it won't pull as much). She's a lot happier now and isn't as mad at me when I brush her hair now.

Hope this helps. Good luck. Oh, and yes, I think you should brush her hair everyday.... even if you are staying in. It will show her that it's not okay to look like a ragamuffin all of the time. If you think you don't want to brush her hair on days where you're homebound, let her do it. It may not look as great, but it's still brushed and you won't feel as guilty about it.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I don't think you need to brush her hair when you aren't going anywhere...I have straight hair and am 18 and I don't brush my hair when I'm staying in.

Some tips for when you do brush her hair:

-Brush it before a washing

-If you use conditioner, comb it with conditioner in it

-If she has curly hair, see if you can get special shampoo/conditioner/detangler or something like that made to help tame curly hair

-When you do brush her hair, start and the bottom and work up

-hold a section of hair a little above where you are brushing out a tangle tightly, so it pulls from your hand instead of her scalp

Mainly, if you don't brush her hair sometime, that's fine. I know people my age with curly hair who don't brush it everyday, even when they are going out.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

First of all, you need to be using the right kind of shampoo and conditioner. She's old enough to be washing her own hair, but if she's not able to get all of the shampoo out, and use the right amount of conditioner in her hair, and endure the brushing/combing later...then it's mom to the rescue. You can go to your local salon and get the Biolage Shampoo and Conditioner for massive tangles. Just ask the salon tech there, they can help. Then, you need to be using a detangler on her hair only a few days/week. You don't want to make it oily. Also, I would definitely cut it a little shorter. If it's that painful that she's going to cry each time you do it, she doesn't get a say in how short it is. She's not old enough, yet, and she does need it brushed every single day. It's healthy to brush your hair every single day, but it has to be done correctly, and with the correct products and tools. I'm sorry to sound so harsh, but you are the parent. She needs to understand that having shorter hair will make it easier on her scalp. You could cut it shoulder-length, and she'd look fine. If she thinks she looks like a boy, with shoulder-length hair, take her out in public and make her point out all of the boys that have shoulder-length hair. She won't find many. You are going to make it harder on her if you aren't brushing her hair daily. It's part of the maintenance, and she's old enough to understand that! And I saw that someone just suggested not washing all of the conditioner out...bad idea. That will cause an oily build-up, fast. Kids touch their hair out of habit. Especially when it's long. You need to always get the products out of the hair, when it says RINSE.

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

my daughter and me have thick naturally curly hair and the only time, we comb the knots out of our hair is when we take a shower/bath...If we do it when it is dry, it looks like one big frizz ball....so it is not bad not brushing your daughter's hair everyday....we take showers every other day as every day is bad for your skin and hair so that is when we brush our hair...my daughter is 8, by the way and she said the same thing...i will look like a boy and be ugly if i cut it...lol.....i use loreal springing curls mousse on my daughter to tame her curls and pantene light spray detangler....don't get me wrong, she still whimpers when i brush her hair when its wet but it's not as bad and there really is not anything you can do about it. My friend is a hairdresser renting a booth so these are the tips she has giving me!!!

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

I think you should, it will teach her that she has to take care of herself everyday, not just days when you will be seen. You may not have to go into as much trouble to get ready those days, but some effort should be made....

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

It's perfectly fine to not brush her hair everyday! My daughter is 4 and she has her bath's at night time. When she wakes up in the morning she has a rat's nest on the back of her head. If I even come close to her with a hairbrush she screams bloody murder. So I let her go to school that way. She looks like a rag doll, but whatever! It's not going to hurt her. I did end up cutting my daughter's hair and it's gotten much easier, but I certainly don't feel like a bad parent if her hair doesn't get brushed!

Do you think it's bad to not brush your child's hair everyday?

You should do it everyday just to keep it from being too tangled the next day. Maybe even twice a day. My 6 yr old has the curly hair to so I know what you mean about it hurting them. It's unfortunate but needed. Try different detangler, maybe a certain brand will work better. I use VO5 adult on my daughter and it seems to work very well. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck
