I have to wear a baseball cap at work (in a deli)---what else besides putting my hair in a pony will

It's medium length, curly and frizzy and the hair elastics I know are not good for my hair.

You can get a hair scrunchie (large sized) and pull your hair back or clip it back in a bun or twist or something

Hey you could express yourself with different caps, and write it off on your taxes.

You could do french braids (do it when your hair is wet so it's easier.) Are you allowed to leave your hair down? If so, do that and maybe straighten it. Two pigtails, a messy bun, or cute hair ribbons could help you change it up a bit.

I think the ballcap and the ponytail is your best bet. I'm sure you don't want to wear a hair net.

If it's just the elastics your worried about-- pull your hair through the hole without an elastic.

have you tried a french braid? it would hold all your hair together from the top of your head, and you could close it with a hair pin instead of an elastic - this will also avoid you getting a "baseball cap line" around your heard when you wear your hair down.

best of wishes

Get softer scrunchies, you can put low pig tails in so they fall in front of your shoulders,,, regular or braided, I think that would be cute and hide the frizz.

certainly you should be using the hair elastics without metal seams. the "no catch" kind. I can't think of what they are called exactly right now, but they are smooth entirely all the way around, you can't feel where it starts or stops.

I think in a job around food, the only option is a pony tail, sounds like your hair is not long enough to braid.

good luck.

p.s. a ball cap beats a hair net ! :)

My daughter is multi-racial and has curly (frizzy) hair. You could "twist" your hair while it's wet and secure the end with a pony tail holder. They make pony tail holders now that are much better for your hair than those in the past. WalMart carries some, as does Sally Beauty Supply. To twist, just wash and condition your hair as usual. Then, pull your hair toward the nape of your neck and split into two pieces. Start twisting your hair until you get to the end (just wrap the two pieces around each other). Then secure with the pony tail holder.

You could also go with a hair net like this:

Good luck! :)
